We are looking to recruit a detail-oriented, results-driven Senior Program Associate to join our Startup Support Unit.
In this role, you will play a key role in providing proactive support to innovators developing solutions to address key challenges facing our society, particularly in the energy sector.
The Program Associate will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of our acceleration program.
The individual will work with the Program Manager to successfully achieve program objectives by providing exceptional operational support to the program.
The Program Associate will support the development and oversight of a rigorous startup selection process, curriculum, identification and management of technical assistance providers, planning and execution events and related program services.
The individual in this role will communicate daily with cohort companies during the program and proactively seek out business, funding and other opportunities for participants during and after the program.

Program management and design:

Support the design, plan and execute startup support programs and projects, including scouting and selection of strong cohort members, managing pre-accelerator and accelerator bootcamps.
Co-design project and activity work plans for the CleanTech program, and monitor the implementation of the work plans.

Startup Wallet Support:

Prepare the business case and initial risk analysis of startups seeking to join the CcHub portfolio.
Liaise with Program Manager to manage communication between startups and the unit as well as provide monthly startup progress reports to senior officers for timely decision making.
Work with other units within CcHUB to provide adequate support to portfolio companies and any other assigned industry guidance.
Work day-to-day with high-growth entrepreneurs across the continent to build sustainable global businesses.
Help design systems and processes to support and direct startups, founders, and business owners to relevant startup programs, support, and resources in CcHUB units.

Partnership commitment:

Actively support the identification of academics, researchers, professionals and experts who could join the CcHUB expert network to provide mentorship and advisory support to startups in our CleanTech portfolio and through projects/programs.
Provide the necessary support to liaise with external parties to conduct market research, perform targeted data analysis, synthesize market insights, and publish thought leadership articles

Report :

Assist in the development of program progress reports for key stakeholders including project sponsors, government officials for timely decision making.
Support the start-up team in the development of performance measures for programs and their monitoring.
Measure and track progress against program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meet reporting requirements from funding agencies and stakeholders.
Measure, track, report and optimize startup program results and progress.
Support and provide guidance to the communications team to deliver engaging and impactful content highlighting CcHUB startup programs and grantee success stories (e.g. program highlights, interviews, member spotlights community, thought leadership content, etc.)

New Opportunities:

Actively support the preparation and development of concept notes and proposal writing.
Monitor and highlight new partnership opportunities in line with CcHub’s strategic direction.
Design and develop programs and start-up projects belonging to CcHub.

Qualifications

A background in technology, engineering, and/or business-related fields.
3+ years of program/project management experience in startups, business development, or consulting.
Passionate about technology, startups, innovation, with an understanding of the cleantech industry and sustainability.
Entrepreneurial background or experience working in a startup environment with a demonstrated understanding of cleantech and the startup support ecosystem.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Organized, resourceful, able to take initiatives and make sound decisions.
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically to solve problems.
Ability to work well in a team as well as manage and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites.
